How to get from Charles de Gaulle airport to the city center of Paris
Depending on your budget or haste there's the following options:
- Train (RER)
- Bus
- Shuttle Van
- Uber
- Taxi
- Private car
RER [B] Train - Cheapest option but not optimal
At €11,80 (forfait Navigo) the cheapest transfer is per regional RER train which takes roughly 35 minutes. Trains depart at 10-15 minute intervals. Downside: You still need to get from the train station to your final destination.
Bus - Cheap but not optimal
Bus tickets to Opéra cost €16.60 (forfait Navigo) and journey time is ±60 minutes. Busses depart at 30 minute intervals. Downside: You still need to get from the train station to your final destination.
Private car or Shuttle van - Family Friendly - Very comfortable
The more comfortable option for families and small groups up to 8 persons is a pre-arranged shuttle van.
At around €99 it'll take you from the airport to anywhere in the city.
It brings you straight to where you need to be, but depending on your group size it may be a more expensive option.

Uber users get to the center of Paris at around €58. It brings you straight to where you need to be, but not the best choice for groups of 4-8 people.
Taxi - Flat Rates for Airport Transfer - Comfortable
The most hassle free way to get to the city centre is by taxi. Official taxis charge flat rates for Airport↔City transfer, being:
- €55 between Paris - Charles de Gaulle airport and Paris' Right Bank;
- €62 between Paris - Charles de Gaulle airport and Paris' Left Bank;
- €41 between Paris-Orly airport and Paris' Right Bank;
- €35 between Paris-Orly Airport and Paris' Left Bank.
You will find taxis at the exit of the baggage claim area of your arrival terminal:
- Terminal 1: Exit 24, arrivals level
- Terminal 2A: Exit 6
- Terminal 2B: Arrivals level
- Terminal 2C: Exit 14
- Terminal 2D: Exit 7
- Terminal 2E: Gate 10, arrivals level
- Terminal 2F: Gate 11, arrivals level
- Terminal 2G: Blue gate
- Terminal 3: Exit of the arrivals hall
Traveling on a budget
If you wanna save a buck go for the bus or train options. It'll be more hassle with your luggage but you'll save some money to go see the sights of Paris, which is an expensive city anyway. If you want comfort and don't mind it comes with a price, do for the different Taxi options.
